Arts Build Communities

October 15, 2009 through June 15, 2010
Grant Awards:
$500 to $3,000

A program funded by the Tennessee General Assembly and administered in cooperation with the Tennessee Arts Commission and designated agencies throughout Tennessee.

This grant category is offered in partnership with Designated Agencies in different parts of the state. (Applications must be submitted to the appropriate Designated Agency instead of the Tennessee Arts Commission.) The short-term objective of this category is to create a decentralized decision-making and distribution process for certain State dollars.  A long-term objective is to build communities by nurturing artists, arts organizations (including local arts agencies), and arts supporters in each of Tennessee's ninety-five counties.
